We rented multiple tables and linens for a wedding. They worked with us through multiple iterations leading up to the event as we were planning. They were very quick to respond and had no issue adjusting the quote. We picked up what we needed to transport ourselves and had no issues. They have much more inventory than we took advantage of but will be on the list for any events that come our way and need furniture/linens.read more

During this crazy past Covid year, my husband and I changed our wedding plans from a destination wedding to a wedding in our very own backyard this pat June 2021. Jeff and the McCarthy team come through for me every.single.time. I'm a wedding planner based in Chicago, but I am from Rochester and had my wedding in Ithaca, NY 4 years ago. I met them through a friend at the time, and they were absolutely spectacular in the planning process -- meeting me at my (very) detailed level to help plan a large tent wedding in Ithaca. Jeff provided helpful guidance about tent size, layout and set-up as well as quantities for all items from chairs and tables to napkins and coffee cups. Fast forward and they are the only rental company I recommend to clients getting married in Upstate NY. They're transparent about pricing, are incredibly professional, respond quickly, and have saved me on more than one occasion. We booked McCarthy's to set up for both, our Wedding & Reception. They were willing to set up our tents 3-4 days in advance, which allowed our wedding planners more time to design the spaces. Furthermore, they ran out of pile wood, which was our choice of flooring for our Wedding; however, they upgraded the flooring to Grey Pickle wood, which is significantly more expensive, without extra charge. They have a VAST collection to pick from to create your very own venue and we greatly appreciated their hard work & generosity. Highly Recommend!read more

We are so happy with the service and quality of the rental. We rented a tent for our parent's 50th anniversary and from contracting to final payment, everything was so smooth and well taken care of. I am a mom who had to transition our daughters wedding to our home. I had McCarthy tents already reserved, but with change in plans they were most accommodating. Jeff was always there to answer my calls and questions. From the person answering the phone to the delivery people everyone is professional and top notch. Customer service is their top priority. They calmed all my fears. The week before they looked at the weather forecast with me and made adjustments to our plans and order. I would never go anywhere else! The service is top notch, from the owner to the team. Even the delivery guys were super nice and professional. They have beautiful linens, chairs, tables, you name it! For a wedding or any kind of party, go to McCarthy. They are wonderful, knowledgeable, flexible and the prices are very fair. I went to McCarthy Tents & Events to add bistro lighting for a little ambiance under the wedding reception tent and they did not disappoint! Their lights gave the extra oomph the tent needed to have that romantic ambiance you want for a wedding :) The entire staff was friendly and easy to get in touch with, and the person installing the lights sent me pictures to make sure it was what I envisioned!read more

The wedding was spectacular! All went well, starting with the weather. McCarthy's wonderful crew set up the tents in the POURING RAIN 2 days in advance. It kept the ground underneath somewhat drier, and thus was completely dry by Saturday. The service was awesome - the staff always provided prompt answers to my many questions over 6 months, and had great flexibility near the end with my additions and subtractions. I was quite impressed with how spacious the 40'x100' tent was with 200+ people inside it! I highly recommend McCarthy's for any event!read more

We had a fantastic experience working with McCarthy Tents & Events. They came highly recommended by the caterer we chose for our barn wedding and did not disappoint. Their delivery, set-up and pick-up were all prompt and seamless. Communication was continuous and easy throughout the process. At one point, we almost had to choose a different champagne flute for our table setting due to the high demand of wedding season, however, McCarthy went the extra mile and ordered additional flutes specifically for us to rent for the wedding. The tent we got from McCarthy's was a big beautiful double poled white tent that immediately brought a festive look to the yard. A crew came, led (I think) by Adam Bentivegna; they were responsible and responsive and a pleasure to work with. LIghts on the tent added a welcome touch. I also got the 12' x 12' dance floor which for my party was a little small (around 80 people) but aside from that, everything went smoothly with getting the tent up and down and I would gladly return as a customer again.read more

The day has not quite arrived yet. So far the service has been very pleasant and efficient. But they can not pinpoint a 4 hour window when they may arrive to set up. To just say they will call you 30 minutes prior is not helpful. When you are planning a large party, that's not exactly a timetable that works. I would think by the day before, you could pinpoint either morning or afternoon for a delivery schedule.read more

I connected with Mike (based out of Buffalo) at McCarthy's for ALL my rental needs for our backyard wedding (tent, tables and chairs, lights, ovens, grills, plates, silverware, linens, EVERYTHING) and had a truly fantastic experience. With all the moving pieces that go into a wedding the rentals was a piece I never worried about. Every time I called (planning this from Boston) all my questions were answered by Mike or someone on the team. Costs were always clear and the set up and take down were seamless. I would never go anywhere else! The service is top notch, from the owner to the team. Even the delivery guys were super nice and professional. They have beautiful linens, chairs, tables, you name it! For a wedding or any kind of party, go to McCarthy. They are wonderful, knowledgeable, flexible and the prices are very fair. They saved my wedding day when I needed a bunch of changes to my contract at the last minute due to a rainy forecast. I cannot say enough good things!read more

I went to McCarthy Tents & Events to add bistro lighting for a little ambiance under the wedding reception tent and they did not disappoint! Their lights gave the extra oomph the tent needed to have that romantic ambiance you want for a wedding :) The entire staff was friendly and easy to get in touch with, and the person installing the lights sent me pictures to make sure it was what I envisioned!read more

The wedding was spectacular! All went well, starting with the weather. McCarthy's wonderful crew set up the tents in the POURING RAIN 2 days in advance. It kept the ground underneath somewhat drier, and thus was completely dry by Saturday. The service was awesome - the staff always provided prompt answers to my many questions over 6 months, and had great flexibility near the end with my additions and subtractions. I was quite impressed with how spacious the 40'x100' tent was with 200+ people inside it! I highly recommend McCarthy's for any event!read more

We had a fantastic experience working with McCarthy Tents & Events. They came highly recommended by the caterer we chose for our barn wedding and did not disappoint. Their delivery, set-up and pick-up were all prompt and seamless. Communication was continuous and easy throughout the process. At one point, we almost had to choose a different champagne flute for our table setting due to the high demand of wedding season, however, McCarthy went the extra mile and ordered additional flutes specifically for us to rent for the wedding. I have worked with McCarthy on countless weddings and events. As an event planner, they are my go to rental company! We have done small linen orders to full wedding tents with all the fixings. They always deliver great products! When getting linens from McCarthy, they are always clean - which is not the case with every rental company. The tent we got from McCarthy's was a big beautiful double poled white tent that immediately brought a festive look to the yard. A crew came, led (I think) by Adam Bentivegna; they were responsible and responsive and a pleasure to work with. LIghts on the tent added a welcome touch. I also got the 12' x 12' dance floor which for my party was a little small (around 80 people) but aside from that, everything went smoothly with getting the tent up and down and I would gladly return as a customer again.read more

The day has not quite arrived yet. So far the service has been very pleasant and efficient. But they can not pinpoint a 4 hour window when they may arrive to set up. To just say they will call you 30 minutes prior is not helpful. When you are planning a large party, that's not exactly a timetable that works. I would think by the day before, you could pinpoint either morning or afternoon for a delivery schedule.read more

I connected with Mike (based out of Buffalo) at McCarthy's for ALL my rental needs for our backyard wedding (tent, tables and chairs, lights, ovens, grills, plates, silverware, linens, EVERYTHING) and had a truly fantastic experience. With all the moving pieces that go into a wedding the rentals was a piece I never worried about. Every time I called (planning this from Boston) all my questions were answered by Mike or someone on the team. Costs were always clear and the set up and take down were seamless. We could not have been happier with the service we received. The sail cloth tent we had set up at our wedding - all I can say is WOW. It was beyond incredible.
